Abstract

Objective: Demonstrate the importance of medical advertising actions, as well as the pharmacist's, to ensure, in addition to the success of the pharmaceutical industry, the quality of life of patients/consumers. Methods: This is a narrative review of the literature, in which articles in Portuguese were analyzed, found in the Google Scholar and SciELO databases, published between 2012 and 2021. Bibliographic Review: The propagandist has become more than a professional who visits medical offices with a view to exposing the benefits of certain products. Over the years, understanding human health has become an even greater challenge, interfering with the performance of all areas. In this way, the propagandist needs to be updated, to transmit this information to other professionals, about new products that are launched on the market, visualizing not only the sale, but the maintenance of human well-being. This document should also ensure that the population is aware of the relevance of reading and studying medicines. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a lot of importance in the role of the propagandist in relation to the dissemination and commercialization of medicines, as well as in the maintenance of people's health.
