Mary. Mistery. Christ. Salvation.Abstract
The present work consists of presenting, in a systematic, biblical and conceptual way, the expressive figure of Mary as an icon of the mystery of Christ and, her function through the project of salvation. This task will be developed through a hermeneutic, historical and reflective approach to the different works to be analyzed. To deepen the systematic study on the mother of Jesus - the Virgin Mary, I will look at some aspects that permeate the Church Tradition, the holy Fathers, the Magisterium and theology itself as locus theologicus, thus making a connection of their respective results with Ecclesiology. However, presenting the figure of Mary in a context marked by remnants of history and fragments of modernity, obliges us to return to the primordial sources of Christianity and to dialogue with today's values based on an ecclesial proposal studied and deepened in the Dogmatic Constitution Lumen Gentium. However, the figure of Mary will be the guiding thread that will guide us from the historical extremes in the light of contemporaneity, and will make us understand the effectiveness of God's revealing action today.
