Abstract

This article aims to deepen the studies on the influence of the media in crimes of great repercussion in Brazil. Freedom of expression and the importance of the role of the press for spectators will be addressed, as well as its harm and direct interference in the concrete fact, transforming the monitoring of cases into a real "reality show" of real life, violating constitutional principles and guarantees. of the accused, even before the final judgment. The impartiality of the Judge and the Jury will be addressed, when sentencing crimes that have great repercussions in our country. The media sensationalism that results in social outcry and early judgment will be addressed, manipulating information, directly impacting the decisions and final sentences of the processes.
