THE EFFICIENCY OF THE BIM MODEL IN CIVIL ENGINEERING

Abstract

This article contains research and discussions that demonstrate the power, efficiency, positive negative points of the BIM model (Building Information Modeling), in the area of civil construction, based on research we were able to analyze how the use of the platform is developing in Brazil, also comparing it with other countries. Efficiency is explained with the experience of users, besides, nothing better than talking about a certain platform when you have experience using it. In this present work, we have an example of one of the main pillars of Revit (platform based on the BIM model) which is the budget model for the quantity of materials. For any specific study, it is very important to talk about the historical aspect of such an agenda, in this article we also explain the beginning of the BIM model, as well as its main processes and transitions suffered until the present moment.
