Abstract

The present study deals with parental alienation, a transgressive psychological practice, carried out by one of the parents, or whoever has authority over the child, so that the child starts to repudiate and break his affective ties with one of his parents. This is a literature review, whose general objective is to understand what efforts the Brazilian Justice has undertaken to combat parental alienation. The specific objectives are: to discuss parental alienation, pointing out the act as a form of violence; discuss Law No. 12,318/2010; reflect on parental alienation in the light of Brazilian law.
