Introduction: Cardiorespiratory arrest is a health problem that requires early identification and immediate decision-making. Within this scenario, the professional nurse stands out, who plays an essential role in reversing the situation. Objective: to analyze the prognosis of patients in cardiorespiratory arrest (CRA) and to highlight the importance of nurses as team leaders. Medical LiteratureAnalysisandRetrievel System Online (MEDLINE), Nursing Database (BDENF), Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), using the keywords cardiorespiratory arrest, nurse leadership, in-hospital CA.Results: The data found showed that the relationship between training and the prognosis of the condition. Conclusion: The training of professional nurses, as well as the continuous training of the team, improve the rates of return in cardiorespiratory arrest.
