This research aims to bring a study of the impacts in the pandemic period (COVID-19), on domestic violence causing the drastic end and the most feared Femicide. As a problem question, we have the following: The impacts caused on the pandemic with the increase in domestic violence in Brazil? In a more restricted way, the objective was to analyze the significant increase in Femicide in the pandemic period and the effectiveness of the Maria da Penha law in reducing this violence. With this, we use the bibliographic research as a methodology, having as writers Meneghel and Portella, who argue about femicide among other subjects in the surroundings of our research. As a result, according to data from the Brazilian Public Security Forum, in twelve states in the country there was a growth of 22.2% in the months of March and April 2020 compared to the same period of the previous year. Therefore, it is noticeable that during isolation in the pandemic period, domestic violence grew absurdly because the intense and exhausting coexistence with the aggressor resulted in this amplification, thus with the lack of support network for women victims of domestic violence . Therefore, we need to provide these women with methods that make it easier for them to make complaints, which allow these women to be able to free themselves from the situation of violence before it culminates in femicide.
