Cattle farming in Brazil consists of animals that typically have a low body condition score, in addition to a long postpartum anestrus period. Factors such as the nutritional condition and cyclicity of the animals influence and favor the low reproductive efficiency of the herd within the property. In view of this, FTAI protocols, with hormonal treatments associated with Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (eCG), have been used in herds that present these conditions. In the present study, the effect of using eCG from the Zoetis® and Biogénesis Bagó® brands in the FTAI protocol was evaluated. 77 multiparous Nellore females, belonging to a farm located in the State of Mato Grosso, were included in the experiment. The matrices were separated into 2 groups, VP1 (n=37) using the drug Novormon® and VP2 (n=40) using the drug Ecegon®. The objective was to evaluate the conception rate according to the use of a hormone from different brands. With the results obtained, it was possible to conclude that there was no statistical difference between the groups experimented, regarding the use of the eCG hormone from Zoetis® and Biogénesis Bagó®.
