Abstract

Even with the exponential and accelerated increase in new technologies and complex control and result systems, some things remain the big bottleneck for many companies, especially when it comes to ordering and adjusting internal processes, controlling waste and increasing productivity, but the more importantly, spend more effort on what has the most impact on solving the above problems. This work seeks, through the analysis of a productive system of container modifications, to demonstrate with the help of the use of some quality tools, prioritize the occurrences of failures and define their root cause. Thus, producing a series of information and data in such a way as to enable a better decision-making to solve the great problem embedded in the company, which is the delay in the delivery of modified containers. The work was developed based on historical data collected at the company, such as the number of projects in arrears and their respective days late, together with their reasons. Such data were quantitatively compiled into basic but very effective quality management tools, which made it possible to quickly identify, prioritize and define the root causes that plague the company. At the end of this work, the root causes were prioritized along with an action plan to remedy them, with a focus on the main objective, which is to reduce and later end delivery delays.
