Self-measurement for momentary relief, as well as for treatment, without proper medical evaluation generates health impacts. The deprivation of adequate information about the correct use of medicines can cause adverse effects and drug interactions. The research reports the impacts of self-medication with ivermectin during the covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to expose the repercussions caused by self-medication with ivermectin during the covid-19 pandemic. List the protocols, highlight the dangers of self-medication, report the containment measures and highlight the importance of the pharmacist promoting awareness in the fight against self-medication. The research is based using a qualitative approach, searching through the bibliographic review (articles, books, theses, dissertations and monographs). Data published between 2012 and 2022 were collected from SciElo, ANVISA, Ministry of Health, Google Scholar, and the Federal Council of Pharmacy. It was found that there was an increase due to self-medication by ivermectin caused by the dissemination of preliminary studies on the use of the drug to combat Covid-19. Provoking an intervention through the implementation of a measure to restrict the population's access to the drug. Emphasized that the role of the pharmacist acting intervening with moral principles and within the current norms in awareness.
