It is undeniable to admit that the presence of pets in people's homes has increased considerably, mainly due to the fact that scientific studies show that these domestic animals are capable of bringing numerous benefits, not only to people but also to animals. Thus, the present study has as main objective to analyze the occurrence of hemoparasites transmitted by fleas, ticks, mosquitoes of the Aedes, Anopheles and Culex genera, as well as by the vector of Trypanosoma cruzi, in dogs and cats. Therefore, the research problem is summarized in the question: what is the main way to reduce or minimize the worst effects that hemoparasites can bring to the health of domestic pets? Seeking an answer to this problem, the study is based on bibliographic research in several primary and secondary sources, as well as on field research to collect data and analyze them by the blood smear method in animals distributed in the region of Vale do Jamari, selected randomly in the months of August and September 2022. With the analyzed data, it was possible to say that the findings are not worrying, but it makes it possible to have a more accurate view of the most prevalent hemoparasitosis and thus, trace a more effective monitoring in the fight and, why not say in the eradication of disease-transmitting vectors.
