ASSESSMENT OF OWNERS' KNOWLEDGE AND VACCINATION AGAINST REPRODUCTIVE DISEASES IN CATTLE PROPERTIES ON LINE 10 CACOAL-RONDÔNIA

Abstract

The use of the vaccine is an essential activity for production animals, in order to prevent reproductive diseases, avoiding infertility, conception failure, embryo death, repetition of estrus, abortion, stillbirth, neonatal mortality, birth of a weakened animal and placenta retention, which are complications that result in many consequences, such as reductions in herd fertility rates, which consequently cause significant economic losses for producers. With this objective, through the accomplishment of this work, to evaluate the knowledge of the owners and the use of reproductive vaccines in the properties located in line 10 in the municipality of Cacoal-RO, where a total of 60 producers were interviewed. Most of them were not even aware of the use of vaccines, and it was also reported that there are animals on the properties that show some clinical sign related to reproductive diseases. With the results obtained in the research, it was concluded that there is a failure to communicate about diseases related to reproduction and their vaccines, which in turn directly affects producers.
