This article sought to understand the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic in which, it made the dentist enable some changes in dentistry, causing a significant change in the form of care and the routine of dental offices. The objective of this work was to carry out a literature review on the main oral manifestations of COVID-19. The bibliographic searches were carried out in the Google Scholar, PubMed and SciELO databases, using the keywords: oral manifestations and COVID-19. The results obtained at the end of this survey were that many manifestations in the mouth were diagnosed in patients with COVID-19, such as: xerostomia, vesicobullous lesions, petechiae, ulcerative and erythematous lesions. However, many doubts exist regarding these lesions in the sense of understanding whether they are primary manifestations of the disease or secondary manifestations of infections, opportunities, for example. Thus, it is concluded that, regardless of the origin of oral manifestations in patients with COVID-19, follow-up by the dentist is necessary both during and after the treatment of the disease, as he will be able to diagnose, treat and prevent such lesions in order to improve the quality of life of these patients.
