Abstract

Digital games are being used in different environments, due to their ability to stimulate cognitive sense such as attention and memory. This study aims to demonstrate through the developed digital game (TimberMagic), that the use of playful activities can become a promising tool for the development of cognitive skills of children also in time of remote learning, due to the pandemic of Coronavirus. The test was carried out in a virtual way with 24 students between 5 and 8 years old. There was an improvement in the cognition of the children involved. In general, they all showed better performance in their school activities, while having fun during social isolation.
