Bone fractures in cattle occur with a certain frequency, especially in the metacarpal and metatarsal bones, making them a factor of great economic importance, since the cost of treatment is often high. The present report describes a patient with a closed fracture, in the metacarpal in his left thoracic appendicular limb, and the fracture repair method, which in this case was the use of a modified Thomas crutch and a plaster cast.
