Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative, irreversible and slow disease, whose pathophysiology is still well understood and is prevalent in the elderly population. Through this aspect, the study aimed to analyze epidemiologically in Brazil between the years 2014 to 2019, evaluating important data to correlate current literary information. The results obtained show that the disease has a predominance among the elderly population and with a high incidence and a higher prevalence in the Southeast region, which supposes, this superiority, due to greater notifications in relation to other regions of the country. Finally, the complexity of the disease is shown, which requires a greater source of drug and non-drug studies, for early diagnosis, aiming at an improvement in the quality of life of patients.
