This article aims to detail the guiding aspects that contribute to the reflection on the mental health of public security professionals, especially the Military Police, who constantly experience the tensions arising from labor mobilization and the mission of orchestrating the planning defense and community care strategies. This topic is relevant due to the fact that it is a topic of contemporary concern, which is based on theoretical references in the field, and which demonstrate the social role of these professionals in the communities in which they are inserted, demonstrating the field of social representation as a structural link. of meanings and expectations. The field of reflection brings up a series of fundamental issues that compromise the smooth running of the labor practice of policing and requires reflections on attention directed to mental health.
