EPIDEMIOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS CONFIRMED BY SUS IN THE STATE OF RIO DE JANEIRO IN THE PERIOD OF 2010-2019

Tuberculosis is one of the anciest infeccious diseases of mankind, which his pulmonary form is important, because it is the most common, representing 80% of cases and for be the responsable for the chain of transmission. Therefore, it was made a data collect from Hospital Information System/Unified Health System (SIH/SUS) – DATASUS. The objective of this study is describe the epidemiological profile of pulmonary tuberculosis in the period of 2010-2019 in the state of Rio de Janeiro. It is a transversal, observational, quantitative and descriptive study, where the data was retrivied from Health Information System – DATASUS, informations as internations, total values, number of obiths, mortality rate, age group and gender, with the finality to analyse and compare the evolution of the collected data. Thus, it turns out that the administrative division most affected is the metropolitan, just like the male, especially in age range of 30-59 years, and the number of deaths is higher in the age range os 40-69 years; however, the mortality rate is considerably higher in the elderly above 80 years. This pattern remained constant on the last 10 years, despite their numbers have decreased. Therefore, it is necesseary expand and improve the diagnosis and the treatment, especially in the most affected groups, in order to decrease the number of infected and cease the chain of transmission.
