The main objective of this review article is to make a study of scientific articles published in recent years, highlighting studies related to Acute Pyelonephritis (AP) in children. PA is responsible for a high rate of recurrence and morbidity, not only in adults, but also in children. The urinary system is responsible for an essential role in our body, the difficulty in diagnosing such an infection can be the main cause of morbidity in children, given that the symptoms are often similar to the symptoms of other pathologies and in other diseases. difficult due to lack of resources, it is important to point out that the infection is related to the age and sex of the children, especially the female sex, as they are more susceptible to this infection. Recently, imaging diagnoses have been great allies to laboratory diagnosis, which is performed through routine urinalysis and urine culture, so that they can early receive adequate treatment with the use of efficient antibiotics.
