BODY SELF-PERCEPTION ON INDIVIDUALS IN THE LIGHT OF POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

This article sought to review the literature about the perception of the body image of individuals in the light of positive psychology. The method adopted in the formulation of this work agrees with the study proposal, which is adequate due to the objectives to be achieved. The development of science is based on the achievement of results that allow us to validate hypotheses about a certain event or fact, present in our lives or not. Thus, the general objective of this work, seeks to present the perception of the body image of individuals in the light of positive psychology. The specific objectives seek to present and define positive psychology, as well as highlight concepts about body image, conceptualize and define weight loss, and finally, present the influence of positive psychology on weight loss. Finally, the present work leaves the theme open, proposing that in the future new research be carried out, in order to contextualize the themes addressed here. Along with this new research, it issuggested to carry out a case study, for which a field analysis of how positive psychology influences people in their search for the ideal weight is proposed.
