ATTENTION TO THE TRESTMENT OF CHILDREN WITH CYSTIC FIBROSIS – ÚNICA 2022/02

Abstract

Cystic fibrosis is an inherited disease that affects both sexes. It is caused by a defective gene that causes the body to produce mucus that accumulates in the respiratory passages and the pancreas. Because it is a chronic disease, the child is always hospitalized. As a result, nurses and even other health professionals should always be participating in the family life for better performance in child care. Objective: describes the attention to the treatment of children with cystic fibrosis, their family relationship and how the diagnosis is made. Methodology: the work methodology was a descriptive bibliographic review. Final considerations: We identified the importance of the nurse, who has the role of working together with the family for better treatment and performance in the care of the child with Cystic Fibrosis.
