The elaboration of this article is justified by the need to approach at an earlier age the problems of sustainability and recycling in the school environment, bringing young students closer to their responsibility with nature and planet Earth. The general objective is to discuss the subject in question to bring it closer to the everyday reality of the classroom, not only in early childhood education, as suggested, but at all levels of education. For specific purposes: the concept of sustainability and recycling, studying the history of environmental education and analyzing fun ways of teaching and learning. This raises the question of how to expose preschool-age children to the issue of sustainability and recycling. One of the theories is to awaken them through a playful and engaging education. Methodologically, it is a bibliographic study, elaborated from physical and electronic books, articles and periodicals. At the end of the study, there were no doubts about the importance of reaching the public mentioned at the beginning of a child's school life, as this would form responsible citizens with the environment.
