The main objective of this article is to discuss the importance of playful training for early childhood educators. We justify the same intention, as we assume that, if games are part of the children's universe, their presence during the initial and continuing education of professionals working at this level of education should be a priority. Another factor that proves the relevance of this study involves the absence of playful experiences in teacher training courses in Brazil. From a practical point of view, programs are usually geared towards theoretical knowledge, without worrying about giving students exposure to the child from the beginning of their training. Playing involves cognitive, social, emotional, psychological and emotional development, so early childhood educators need adequate training to work with children, training focused on the playful dimension, so that play is stimulated in the classroom.
