Breast câncer is the neoplasm that most affects women, most often using mastectomy as a form treatment. The high number of women undergoing breast surgery affects their self-esteem, social life and sexuality. The new technique used in the aesthetic field is important because it has a positive influence on areolar reconstruction, as one in five women undergoing a mastectomy lose the areola. Paramedic micropigmentation performed by a trained professional, following biosafety standards, proves to be a safe, fast, effective procedure. It also manages to raise the patient´s self-esteem, improve her psychosocial condition and quality of life.
