Abstract

This work demonstrates the beneficts of introducing and application of Big Data resources specifically in a small business and family model called “3X”. It was analyzed how their daily generated internal and external data were treated and which data treated could be considered useful for their managers. Also described the processes of collecting and analyzing information, the methodologies adopted that offered an overview of the company's situation, which made it possible to identify the root cause of its problems. Thereby, a solution to the problem was proposed, which initially brought some impacts because the solution was not directly related to the theme raised by the managers, which consisted of the "governance of business data", but rather, in the foreground, the solution was related to a structuring of organizational management, which was considered in deficit. Thus, later, the benefits achieved by an appropriate and assertive data governance arising from correct management were presented. Finally, an action a plan was carried out to achieve the objectives, including firstly a vertical structuring of management, maximization of processes and services, support in decision-making by managers and consequently the data’s governance of the 3X company.
