This study seeks to analyze telework, popularly called home office, as a People Management tool, considering the most recent theories in this area that have a more strategic view of human capital within organizations. In the face of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic promoted by the agent SarsCov-2, teleworking has become one of the main tools for maintaining economic activity due to sanitary impositions to contain the contagion of the virus. The present work seeks to analyze studies prior to the pandemic to verify how the adoption of this model impacted organizations that adopted telework; and to verify, comparatively to the face-to-face work model, how the well-being and desires of teleworkers were affected. The research used to compose this work involves an article from Canada, published in a Brazilian journal, as it serves as a reference for Brazilian companies in large urban centers on this topic, and two national studies that evaluate telework adopted by companies in the country. This article makes use of the hypothetical-deductive method, the methodology used will be exploratory research, as well as bibliographic research. A second step was to analyze the adoption of teleworking by Banco do Brasil during the pandemic, as it is a company with a strong presence throughout the national territory and considered an essential service that did not paralyze its activities in 2020. It seeks to formulate an overview of the culture within the country and how teleworking can be a strategic tool for organizations and Human Resources.
