THE OCEAN OF PHOTONS

Abstract

This article presents an original and unprecedented explanation for the nature of light and other electromagnetic waves. The hypothesis that the entire universe, including matter, is immersed in an ocean of photons, explains several phenomena that remain obscure, such as dark matter, dark energy, cosmic background radiation, etc. To reinforce the hypothesis presented in this article, assuming that photons do not travel at the speed of light, but oscillate, transmitting their vibrations to neighboring photons, the author supports his thesis with mathematical assessments and simple physics calculations, intelligible to anyone with a high school diploma.
