HISTORICAL CONTEXT: THE RISE OF WOMEN IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE MILITARY POLICE OF PARANÁ

Abstract

This article aims to highlight the historical context of the rise of women in the Fire Department of the Military Police of Paraná, highlighting the initial milestone of women's entry into the Institution, allowing the initiation of women in the ranks of the Corporation to the rank of Officers and Squares. , seeking to highlight the trajectory of women before in an exclusively male field, following the historical changes and creating inclusion and reducing gender inequality, where women started to have the right to integrate the Fire Department of the Military Police of Paraná, allowing equal participation in the profession. As a methodology, qualitative research was used, using the historical method, with the purpose of highlighting the process of inclusion of women in the Fire Department, as it began in Brazil and especially in the state of Paraná, highlighting the achievements and how they integrate the workforce, what are their rights conquered during history until the present moment and what are the advances within the corporation in the ranks of Squares and Officers. We conclude that in relation to the historical context of the rise of the Military Firefighter woman of the Military Police of Paraná, the professional evolution is increasing, women are largely in the Officers' staff, demonstrating their inclusion in the Institution, adding work and dedication to the service. from the Fire Department, the Military Police, through their Managers and Commanders, opened the Institution's doors for the inclusion of women in its ranks, recognizing that professionalism and capacity are independent of gender; Through the analysis of the historical context, we recognize the rise of women in the Military Fire Brigade of Paraná so that together men and women can add and improve the service provided to society, promoting the protection of lives, assets and the environment, and that they can be seen by their efforts, aptitude, acts of bravery, dignity, discipline, respect, professional ethics, thus building in an increasingly solid way this Corporation that has one of the noblest missions of all, which are to protect and save.
