This paper presents an answer to Whitehead's philosophy of science purpose: a report of coherence between events. The raised hypothesis was that the concept of Excess, as presented by George Bataille in The Accursed Share, can be an excellent resource for reporting the coherence between events in the Universe. To corroborate this hypothesis, the chosen Bataillean concept has been scientifically developed and, finally, applied to discriminated processes in nature, to test if is possible to find Excess as an essential process singly and jointly at the events. By the cases studied in this research, it is concluded that the Excess can be a factor to report the coherence between distinct series of events (processes).
