The study aims to verify the relationship between human values and post-traumatic growth (PTG) in the resignification of life after a divorce. Therefore, a fieldwork was carried out, applyin an instrument with three questionnaires: Post-traumatic Growth Inventory, Basic Values Questionnaire and Sociodemographic questionnaire. Two hundred twenty seven subjects from the Brazilian national territory participated, mostly female (83,3%), with an average age of 33.63 years. The results obtained present a significant correlation of all sub-functions of human values and PTG factors, including the general factor, except for the sub-function experimentation. For this result, it should be taken into consideration that human values face a benevolent and positive nature of the human being, thus, guiding and leading behaviors, which assist in a positive and healthy adaptation.
