This study aims to report the experience of psychological care given to a 17-year-old girl who suffered intrafamilial sexual abuse. The consultations took place in the office of one of the authors, in the neighborhood of Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro. The results presented were collected through the reports of the sessions and the application of a semi-structured and open interview, and divided into categories according to Bardin's analysis. In addition to the sexual aspects of the abuse, the victim also suffered from self-mutilation, low self-esteem, conflicts within the family unit, and a suicide attempt that emerged in the client's reports. The analysis was interpreted in the light of the Person-Centered Approach (PCA), allowing reflections on the conflicts and difficulties experienced by the client, considering her subjective and family issues.
