Abstract

The human community, intended or not, presents itself as coined in a social vision of the beautiful and the ugly from remote to hypermodern times. The search for the realization of a body aesthetic that configures itself in something considered beautiful has been a constant since time immemorial. This article seeks to reflect on beauty and aesthetics in society throughout human history, considering that the vision of the beautiful and the ugly can be related to the self-esteem of women and men who seek beautification techniques for personal and professional fulfillment. . A bibliographic study of a qualitative nature based on a survey of texts and concepts that help in the outcome of the problem in the face of the way in which society looks at beauty in some times and its relationship with the technological advance in the current times. The results indicate the feeling of a society that has always been focused on the pursuit of body beauty, through the exuberant use of adornments, skin care and physical appearance, in the sense of personal satisfaction, according to the social demands of its time.
