EFFECTIVENESS OF SPEECH THERAPY INTERVENTION IN FACIAL AESTHETICS

Due to the great concern with aesthetic issues, there is continuously the development of research aimed at mitigating the main effects of this aging process, with facial aesthetics becoming a scientific research field, with an extremely vain society continually seeking ways to increase self-esteem and , consequently the quality of life. Its general objective is to analyze the effectiveness of aesthetic speech therapy intervention in facial rejuvenation and in the promotion of facial harmonization. For the basis of the research, it was necessary to search in sources present in electronic sites that provide scientific articles in their bases, highlighting SCIELO, PUBMED and CAPES, based on the following descriptors: speech therapy, aesthetics, face. A total of 71 (seventy-one) articles were found with the descriptors used and, after analyzing the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 6 were included. After analyzing all the selected studies, it was possible to conclude that there is a lack of data on facial aesthetics as an object of work in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. However, the analyzed articles present aesthetic methods that seek the proposal of facial rejuvenation involving professionals of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and the participants themselves in the evaluation of the results.
