The development of the internet dictates rules on the concept of education and learning in the 21st century, inaugurating a true revolution in the global village. In the globalized age of digitized information, access to knowledge is relatively easy, immediate, ubiquitous and accessible. In a globalized exchange, anonymous individuals influence the behavior of Homo sapiens by logarithms, which evolution through genes took about 300,000 years to the internet under 60 years old and imposes itself on our daily lives in a conditioning way, like social quicksand that reflects the aspirations of humanity, leaving an increasingly fragmented universe and expanding the possibilities of communication and learning. Given this context, the essay aims to understand the use of technological tools in the educational scenario from the perspective of a new teaching methodology, which involves students' digital interaction with the contents. The choice of theme was significant, because the theme is timely, above all, because the need to study the importance of the use of technology and its influence on the teaching and learning process has not yet been overcome. The problematic question analyzed here is guided by the following questions: How does the teacher use technological tools inside and outside the classroom (online and off-line)? How can digital technology provide greater appropriation of scientific knowledge? How to use digital technology and keep students focused in class? To seek the necessary understanding and expose the ideas, analyzes and point of view regarding the theme, theoretical research was necessary in articles in Portuguese, in the Google Scholar databases, to provide familiarity with the problem situation and to present the importance in the recognition of technology and how it can effectively contribute to educational activities, developing a work dynamic with the potential to stimulate educational aspects. The results show that the teaching model based on the teacher-chalk-blackboard tripod is out of date. The school is undergoing profound changes, which involve the need to master the tools of the world of digital information.
