TERRITORIALITY: THE MANAUS FREE ZONE AND ITS SOCIOECONOMIC IMPACT IN THE STATE OF AMAZONAS

: This article deals with the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM), whose objective is the analysis of the socioeconomic impact in the state of Amazonas, especially the dichotomy between industrial and social development in the city of Manaus. Bringing to the discussion the concepts of territoriality, mobility, networks and flows. Since, the subsidy policy implemented in the region directly influenced the mobility of several people, who would compose the workforce of the Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM). The research was based on several authors dealing with the topic, in order to build a theoretical framework that can discuss the ZFM, in the context of territoriality, industrialization in the Amazon and finally, how the idea of industrial development impacts on the social, in this case, based on the income, HDI and MHDI indicators of the city of Manaus. The aim of this work is to share one more look at this development model associated with concepts that permeate not only geography, but society in general.
