GENDER VIOLENCE: SOCIAL INTERVENTIONS IN GUARANTEE OF THE RIGHT TO WOMEN

The present work exposes about the “Gender violence: interventions of the Social Service in guaranteeing the rights of women". Its objective is to identify the instruments used by the Social Service to guarantee the rights of women who are victims of gender violence. In addition, it aims to clarify how professional intervention can be used to face violence against women; identify public policies aimed at protecting victims of domestic and family abuse; to know the difficulties of the Social Worker's performance in the fight against violence against women. It was used as a methodology, the bibliographic research in works and scientific publications on the subject. It was found that the role of the social worker in this scenario is of fundamental importance, rescuing this woman from this situation of suffering, offering support to achieve her social and legal rights, through articulation with the various segments that are part of the support services network. To women, such as the Specialized Police Stations for Women, Military Police, Shelters and the Reference Center Maria do Pará Center, contributing to the empowerment of these women. It was concluded that the social worker must be a professional who will mediate and articulate this process of guaranteeing women access to their rights, so violated by their partners, through an intervention that directs the prevention and confrontation of violence against women in Brazil.
