Abstract

The vision and all the magnitude it represents allow the unveiling of the beauties of nature and of the human being. It gives meaning to colors, shapes and faces, and without a doubt its loss breaks the facial harmony and causes family, social and psychological changes. Patients with ocular loss need to be rehabilitated with prostheses that enable aesthetic, functional and psychosocial restoration. In this context, the objective of this research was to present a clinical case of loss of the eyeball and its rehabilitation, emphasizing the importance of patients with facial mutilations being holistically rehabilitated to be reinserted into society and have a better quality of life.
