The object of study is the guidelines for cesarean delivery of a primiparous pregnant woman, aiming to identify the guidelines of health professionals regarding women regarding the existing delivery in the medical area. The study brings as an academic contribution the acquisition of more knowledge and thus, being able to transmit to other people how fundamental the importance of the conceptual knowledge of the health professional regarding childbirth is. This research is important for the health professional because it clarifies the need for this professional to have the theoretical-scientific knowledge necessary to guide these pregnant women regarding their delivery. Thus, it benefits the population by making the pregnant woman know her rights and duties at the time of delivery, avoiding future dissatisfaction after the birth of her child. The methodology used was the literature review.
