Industry 4.0 is one of the fastest growing concepts in the world, combining the physical and digital world, which has changed not only the manufacturing and innovation industry, but all productive sectors and organizations, creating perspectives and possibilities.In Brazil, this process moves slowly, mainly due to the difficulties encountered by national industries in investing in innovation to improve their processes. However, driven by internal and mainly global competitiveness, it has motivated these industries to accelerate this process in search of innovation. Based on this scenario, some public initiatives emerged that are also being implemented, such as Decree No. beginning of an implementation of a technological innovation policy for Brazil.In this article, the concept of Industry 4.0, its technologies and its applicability in the national industry in this context were analyzed through bibliographic research. Seeking to identify the challenges and opportunities within this new scenario.
