THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE SUPPLY CHAIN OF INDUSTRIES

Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the supply chain of industries is studied. This work aims to identify and describe the main impacts of the pandemic on the supply chain of industries from the point of view of managers and employees. A literature review on the topic was carried out, and we sought to identify works that address the topic. Then, an opinion poll was carried out with 33 citizens who are linked to the purchasing departments of some companies. The results showed that there was an impact on the supply chain with different perceptions of these employees and most understand that there was unpreparedness or ignorance of the situation to plan better. It was concluded that, in view of the difficulties generated by a  an unprecedented period, there was unpreparedness, lack of planning and there is still, in a beginner way, a concern with future planning.
