Abstract

Introduction: the professional in aesthetics and cosmetics is increasingly in evidence in the performance of the postoperative period of plastic surgeries, over the years plastic surgeries have been growing, obtaining a large number of people who seek physical well-being, follow paradigms aesthetics, largely obtained by the female audience from teenagers to women with more advanced ages, and they have been concerned with having a physiognomy influenced by social media. Body plastic surgery allows remodeling through invasive procedures. The concern with pre- and postoperative care has been shown to prevent possible complications and promote a more satisfactory aesthetic result. Objective: Plastic surgery aims to repair or improve some part of the body, reconstruction or repair has the task of recovering functions of various structures that are caused by wounds from accidents, burns, congenital anomalies, diseases or even in cases of removal. of the breast due to cancer treatment, can also improve and modify imperfections, these various procedures related to body remodeling, some surgical procedures are more sought after than others, such as reduction/augmentation mammoplasty, with prosthesis and mastopexy, liposuction and abdominoplasty. Methodology: For the survey of subjects, consultations were carried out on search engines related to scientific and academic publications, such as SCIELO and LILACS. At first, 39 articles were verified that fulfilled the theme of body plastic surgery. However, after analyzing the abstracts, 17 fully instructed articles were selected for the bibliographic survey, those whose themes were specifically directed to the pre and postoperative period, with the provision of data access in the period from 2007 to 2021, based on the information sought. Conclusion: The postoperative period helps recovery through combined therapies to improve edema, fibrosis, scarring and pain that invasive procedures can cause.
