The present study analyzes the cases of incidence of Acute Diarrheal Diseases (ADD) in the districts of the municipality of Tucuruí, state of Pará, aiming to identify the etiology of the disease. The study was carried out based on statistical data provided by the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance, related to patients treated with acute diarrhea in 2019, in the Health Units of the municipality of Tucuruí. It is expressed in weekly occurrence of cases and by age group in the municipality. It is concluded that the continuous monitoring of the genotypes circulating in the population is essential, which implies the need to train health professionals to deal with diarrhea, since the correlation with the sanitary and environmental structure of the municipality also helps in prevention. of patients affected by ADD.
