Abstract

Pharmaceutical assistance develops a series of activities related to supply services in which the planning, programming and acquisition of medicines play an important role, ensuring access and rational use of medicines. Planning provides a set of information and administrative data obtained from surveys of epidemiological information, definition of organization services, financing, pharmaceutical standardization, inventory management and human and material resources, which will allow the team responsible for programming to define what, who, when and how much to buy. In this sense, programming must establish norms and procedures, define work methods, tasks, responsibilities and deadlines, tools, cycle and method. Once the program is ready, the acquisition process begins, which brings together a series of programs. The objective of the program is to make medicines available in quantity and with good quality and at the lowest possible cost.To determine what and how much to buy, the manager must carry out a specific technical survey to determine the demand for each drug (active ingredient) in his city or state, using records of attendance from the current year and two years before. Next, you need to carry out a comprehensive and detailed price survey on the active ingredients and quantity of the product.
