Introduction: The respective study is intended to contribute to significant considerations on the importance of Physiotherapy in terms of reflecting on what are the greatest benefits that Hydrotherapy can provide in patients with Down Syndrome, whose area of concentration culminates in Physiotherapy Neurofunctional. Objective: To review in the literature the benefits of Hydrotherapy in the rehabilitation of individuals with Down Syndrome. Methodology: Bibliographic research, with selection criteria where important works were selected, through keywords, where exclusion criteria were given through the compatibility of the objectives and with the required theme, taking into account that all the works used , offered the theoretical basis for this literature review. Conclusion: At the end of this study, it can be concluded that Aquatic Physiotherapy is one of the most used techniques, and can be worked with recreational and therapeutic activities, so the child can have freedom in their movements, a better postural correction, improvement of the system breathing and also a significant socialization, being in a more pleasant, pleasurable and recreational environment.
