Guided procedures are used in several areas of dentistry, such as periodontics, prostheses, orthodontics, oral surgery, having been introduced in the area of endodontics, for its application in endodontic surgery, as they facilitate access to calcified root canals through directional guides, thus reducing the risk of operative errors, especially root perforations. Guided endodontics, therefore, is a technique used in teeth that have a calcified root canal system, which uses directional guides whose manufacture depends on several digital tools such as: CBCT, intraoral fingerprints and a system responsible for designing them virtually and then printing them. them in 3D, so that they are correctly adapted to the operative field. obtaining good results, such as: realization of conservative access in straight cavities, minimally invasive preparations, shorter operative time and reduction of clinical procedure errors. Based on this importance, the present work will discuss calcified canals, their classification, diagnosis, and the main characteristics of Guided Endodontics (Endoguide).
