Homeopathy was developed and spread by Samuel Hahnemann in the 18th century, after extensive studies and reflections based on clinical observation and experiments carried out at the time.In view of the advances and setbacks that homeopathy has undergone since its implementation in the SUS, it is important to note that the PNPIC tends to strengthen the use of this therapy in the public health system, being able to guarantee a safe and effective intervention if applied correctly, because through the homeopathic treatment, it is possible to promote individualistic care, favoring the resolution of health problems and satisfying SUS users (LEMONICA, 2014).Its role within the treatment of an organism is extremely important, since homeopathic medicines only take effect when they are administered correctly, prioritizing the individuality of each patient. In addition to handling, this professional is also able to guide the patient regarding the use, storage, conservation and all issues involving drug administration, contributing to an even more effective and, above all, safe treatment. It can be used by anyone, from newborns to the elderly, homeopathy can be sought in any clinical situation, both in acute and chronic situations, and contributes to treating the person with an eye towards the integrality of care.Working in Basic Health Units (UBS), the pharmacist has attributions at all stages of the pharmaceutical care cycle: selection, programming, acquisition, storage, distribution and dispensing.
