Abstract

The work presents the proper rules for the correct dispensing of medicines subject to special control, emphasizing the role of the pharmacist in this context. The incorrect dispensing of medicines considered controlled causes their misuse as a consequence. Such drugs described in Ordinance 344/98 have high risks of physical and chemical dependence, in addition to the misuse of antimicrobials, mainly causing bacterial resistance. Bringing on the agenda the correct dispensing is essential for the professional to perform successfully in their role and contribute to improving the health of the region of their particular drugstore.
