THE IMPORTANCE OF NURSING IN NORMAL HUMANIZED BIRTH

Childbirth is a unique event, therefore, the appreciation of the experiences of each woman-mother is fundamental to the humanization of the labor/birth process - a period that comprises the beginning of labor and birth. Thus, this article aims to identify and summarize in the literature the importance of nursing in humanized normal labor. The methodology used was bibliographic research with a descriptive and exploratory approach. Through the results, the techniques adopted by nursing professionals in the humanization of childbirth were observed. It was possible to conclude that nursing within the humanization process in obstetrics collaborates significantly for labor and childbirth and provides greater quality and comfort for the women. However, it is also important to worry about improving the quality of the provided service, which leads to the working conditions provided by the units and the team's commitment to strengthening and carrying out this process in an effective and permanent way.
