Pharmacists play a crucial role in guiding the population to take the correct medication, and this study looked at the role of pharmacists in dispensing anti-inflammatory drugs to patients with hypertension. Among the readily available drugs is a class of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - NSAIDs, since arterial hypertension is a highly prevalent pathology that has affected or contributed to the emergence of other diseases, through the use of the available class of antihypertensive drugs and concomitant use with NSAIDs can lead to drug interactions. As a result, the use of over-the-counter drugs has been increasing in institutions, requiring the pharmacist to act in hypertensive patients regarding interactions with the concomitant and indiscriminate use of NSAIDs.
