CONFLICT BETWEEN RUSSIA AND UKRAINE: WHAT ARE EACH INTERESTS?

Abstract

Much has been said about the conflict between Russia and Ukraine that has been going on for days, but the coverage has been partial and often with a dubious quality, generating disinformation and omitting some aspects that are important to understand the conflict. Analyzing this conflict with the theoretical framework of geography, we can understand better, since geographic analyzes can be done in a multi-scale way, that is, we can observe the causes and consequences of events at different scales, in this way we can understand the international interests that generated the conflict while at the same time we can observe how local discourses are used to justify these conflicts.
